journey for you.
Our practice tests are split into three levels: Upper, Middle, and Elementary. Each level is designed for the appropriate grade level of the students and will allow extra practice until the actual exam. Choose the right journey for you below.
Age - appropriate test levels
Upper Level (Gr.8-11)
The upper level test is geared toward students in grade 8 to 11 who are applying to private high schools. It has the same structure as the middle level test, but features more advanced material.

Middle Level (Gr.5-7)
Middle Level is for students in grades 5-7. Timing may vary for students with approved testing accommodations.

Elementary Level (Gr.3-4)
There are two versions of the Elementary Level SSAT. The Grade 3 version is for current 3rd graders applying to 4th grade. The Grade 4 version is for current 4th graders applying to 5th grade.
